Market Highlights

n the fourth quarter of 2015, the Santa Barbara region saw a decline in supply, which helped drive the average sold price up in many sub-markets.
  • Price increases in Q4 were most significant in Hope Ranch, posting a 125% gain from $2,589,125 in 2014 to $5,825,714 in 2015. This marks the second consecutive quarter of significant growth in Hope Ranch (Q3 2015 showed a 69% increase in average sale price over Q3 2014.)
  • A limited supply in Santa Barbara has continued the trend of rising sales prices with the average sales price up 6% from $1,077,634 in 2014 to $1,137,608 in 2015.
  • Activity in the Santa Ynez Valley was also up, with the total SFH sold up 10%.
