Market Highlights

Marketwide, the Cape Cod and Islands Multiple Listing Service reported the following year over year statistics, Q3 2016 versus Q3 2015:

  • The number of units sold in the Upper Cape has increased by 9% in 2016 as compared to 2015. Most notably, Sandwich’s single-family unit sales have increased by 34%.
  • The number of units sold in the Mid Cape has increased by 11% in 2016 as compared to 2015. In Barnstable, single-family units were up 17%
  • The five towns comprising the Lower Cape have experienced a relatively flat level of activity in 2016 when compared to 2015.
  • The Outer Cape experienced a 15% increase in unit sales year over year.
