A time-honored San Francisco art tradition is once again preparing to mount for another year: Private Collections 2017 will begin April 5, offering the public the chance to enjoy some of the finest art and luxury real estate of some of the city’s greatest and most passionate art collectors.
A good cause with a legacy
Entering its 17th year, Private Collections is committed to raising awareness for Enterprise for High School Students – a youth development program guiding teenagers to learning and career opportunities – through the support of the Bay area’s most committed art collectors. From the refined to the challenging and off-beat, each collection offers a peek into the world of its owner – as well as artists, gallerists and curators – and is notable for a thoughtful and selective curation.
Your ticket acts as a direct donation to EHSS and you the opportunity to:
- Visit a private collection of your choosing.
- Attend the exclusive Private Collections post-party and silent auction immediately following the tour.
Diverse collections for every taste
This year, art lovers of all tastes and backgrounds will find at which to something to marvel. Enjoy the contemporary, “kick in the teeth” avant-garde collection of Dauber and Levin – featuring large-scale works like Walter Robinson’s pink Mickey Mouse Pieta and Al Farrow’s artillery-walled Synagogue – or the mid-20th Century abstract collection of Francis Mill – with works by Howard Hodgkin, David Hockney, Joan Mitchell and more. Each stop is a unique world of aesthetic pleasure.
Add to all this the opportunity to rub elbows with some of the Bay area’s art elite, each tour is an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Click here to visit the Private Collections website and purchase tickets.
