Unfurl the sails and ready the anchor – the Palm Beach International Boat Show is sailing in to the luxury real estate of West Palm Beach this weekend.

Returning for its 31st year for a March 17-20 cruise, the show is one of the top-five best in the country. Featuring yachts, boats and all manner of nautical accessories worth more than $1.2 billion from the world’s preeminent marine manufacturers, the event certainly earns its international reputation.

Hundreds of different vessels – from personal watercraft to fishing boats to superyachts – will be on display. This is in addition to a choice selection of pre-owned yachts, exhibitions boasting the latest electronics and accessories, live music, exotic cars, floating cocktail barges and children’s fishing seminars. In short, there’s something for everyone.

There's fun for the whole family at the Palm Beach show, one of the best in the country.

Here’s a closer look at what visitors can reel in this weekend:

In the AquaZone
After proving to be one of 2015’s most popular attractions, AquaZone is back for its second year. What’s all the fuss about? Does hands-on testing and in-water demonstrations of a wide range of watersports sound like fun? Of course it does. Visitors get to try out paddle boarding, ocean kayaks, new outboards and hovercrafts – yes, hovercrafts – within a safe 40,000-gallon tented pool.

Fun for the whole family
Fishing enthusiasts will find the Palm Beach International Boat Show a real catch. With offerings of International Game Fish Association School of Sportfishing seminars taught by the area’s best and most experienced fishermen and fun instructional clinics for young boys and girls just getting their start in the angling world, there’s plenty to see and do.

After completing all the learning stations – which teach how to cast a rod and reel, and how to fight a fish – participating children get the chance to win some special prizes.
