Whether you’re an equine enthusiast or luxury real estate lover, the Hamptons of Long Island, New York, is likely one of your favorite places in all of the nation. At the end of each summer, the Hampton Classic is held, which involves several events including the Grand Prix and Jump for Charity. Set in one of the more beautiful farms on all of Long Island, the Hampton Classic is a must-see for all visitors to and residents of the area.
This year’s Hampton Classic will take place between Aug. 28 and Sept. 4, while it is celebrating its seventh year since being distinguished as a Heritage Competition from the United States Equestrian Foundation. Those who are looking for a one-time opportunity to see some of the best riders in the sport compete, as well as attendees who have been following this year’s Young Jumper Championships, ought to consider heading over to Bridgehampton.
Seniors enter for free between Tuesday and Thursday, children’s admission is complementary on Saturday and the entire public is welcome to attend at no cost on Monday. Admission for adults on the other days is $10 per person and $20 per carload. If you want to get up close and personal in the Grand Prix on Sunday, that will run $25 per person, while the premium seats are $35 a piece. For the Young Jumper Championships, the Hampton Classic hosts the final competition after a year of points-based competition. What’s more, world-renowned Joe Fargis will be judging the Hampton Classic Leadline event that involves ponies and young riders parading around the Grand Prix Ring. Later, the Hunter Divisions will heat up, which is one of the most beloved competitions of the year in the equine arena.
We here at Sotheby’s International Realty are proud sponsors of the 41st annual Hampton Classic, and hope to see you there!
