Classic car lovers – it’s time to rev up your engines. Beverly Hills’ annual Concours d’Elegance event is back and better than ever at Greystone Mansion on Sunday, May 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Now in its 12th year, Concours d’Elegance features over 150 classic automobiles and motorcycles hard to find just about anywhere else.
Most of the cars were built prior to 1974, and some are even pre-war American and European models. They are all exceptional and perfectly maintained, as if they’d just rolled off the assembly line. This is a rare opportunity for the public to explore these vehicles up close alongside the likes of Jay Leno and other car enthusiasts. Tickets can be purchased here.
Free parking is available on Sunset Boulevard. From there a free shuttle will take ticket holders to Greystone Mansion & Gardens: The Doheny Estate. Used by Hollywood to film movies like X-Men and There Will Be Blood, the Doheny estate is an incredible property to behold. It’s only this one time a year when both the first and second floors of this luxury real estate are open to visitors.
More than just the cars
While the beautiful motorcycles and cars are obviously the main attraction, there’s also much more to see and do at Concours d’Elegance. There’s unlimited gourmet food, desserts, beverages and adult libations to partake in, as well as house tours, scotch tastings and a cocktail fundraiser for Friends of Greystone, a nonprofit organization charged with restoring and preserving the estate.
There will be lectures held in the living room, where Mike Brewer and Edd China of the popular TV show Wheelers Dealers will hold book signings. At the same time, high end vendors selling books, fine art, jewelry, vintage fashions and of course, automobilia, will populate the mansion with great gift items.
