Just in time to thaw out this winter, the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet returns to bring the heat! On Saturday, April 8, the company is unveiling the world premiere of a ballet by ASFB newcomer Cherice Barton. This Los Angeles-based artist’s much-lauded choreography has gained her worldwide attention, but it is her versatility in movement styles and background as a classical ballet dancer that makes her an excellent fit for the dynamic dancers of ASFB. Also on the performance program are Alejandro Cerrudo’s magical Little mortal jump and master choreographer Jiří Kylián’s haunting Sleepless. The show will take place at The Lensic, Santa Fe’s historic and well-appointed Performing Arts Center. Described as “ready for its Hollywood close-up,” by the Los Angeles Times, don’t miss your opportunity to catch a once-in-a-lifetime performance from some of the most talented and expressive dancers. Tickets range from $25 to $94 for reserved seating. To purchase tickets, click here.
